Beganovic slams PSL Referees after controversial loss
TS Galaxy coach Adnan Begnovic has urged for the improvement of match officials after his side suffered a 2-1 defeat on Saturday evening against Magesi FC at the fortress Seshego Stadium.
The Bosnian-Herzegovina 42-year-old tactician was left frustrated after his Bafana Bafana defender Khulumani Ndamane was fouled in the build-up of Magesi’s equalizer in the 71st minute by Lehlohololo Mokone, canceling out Seluleko Mahlambi’s 65th-minute deadlock opener at the Seshego stadium.
Dikwena Tsa Meetsi went on to score a late winner through former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Thabang Sibanyoni in the 81st minute to complete the comeback.
“We scored the first goal and had everything in our hands, but how we conceded the first goal, I think first of all it’s not real what the referee allowed after the knockout on our central defender, and he allowed the play to continue and we conceded the goal.” frustrated Beganovic told reporters.
“PSL is a serious league with serious teams, and we need to improve everything not only players. We have improved now, and Bafana Bafana are going to the World Cup – I think we need to follow that example.
“Also, everything around has to improve, like the field where we play, and who is involved in the same game. I think we need to improve everything, not only players and clubs.”
