FICKSBURG — The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Ficksburg is appealing urgently to the community for help in finding a missing 18-year-old female, Luyanda Sekhele, who disappeared from her neighborhood last week.

Sekhele, a resident of the Katlehong section in Meqheleng near Ficksburg, was last seen by her father on the morning of Friday, 15 May 2026. She left her home heading to school wearing her full school uniform, but she failed to return later that afternoon and has not been heard from since.

No photograph of the missing teenager has been supplied to authorities at this stage.

SAPS officials are treating the disappearance with high priority and urge anyone with information, no matter how minor it may seem, to step forward.
