Nedbank Cup last 16 draw: Pirates and Downs avoid each other
Premier Soccer League (PSL) giants Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns have been kept apart in the Nedbank Cup Round of 16 draw held on Wednesday at SuperSport studios in Randburg.
The Soweto giants are set to host Motsepe Foundation Championship side Casric Stars FC at the Orlando Amstel Arena, while the Tshwane side will travel to Mbombela to face fellow Betway Premeirship side TS Galaxy.
Another intriguing fixture will see Richards Bay host Kwa-Zulu Natal rivals AmaZulu, Motsepe Foundation Championship leaders Milford host Amateur rank side Mkambathi in another KZN-Derby.
Golden Arrows, who hammered Orbit College 3-0 on Sunday, will welcome Stellenbosch FC in Durban. University of Pretoria, finalists in 2009, have been drawn against Sekhukhune United, the 2023 final runners-up.
Motsepe Foundation Championship side Upington City will host Durban City, while ABC Motsepe Foundation outfit Jacksa Spears will travel to face CR Vasco Da Gama.
The PSL has confirmed that the Nedbank Cup Round of 16 fixtures will take place next weekend, with exact dates and kick-off times to be announced in the coming days.
