Dirco rejects claims of Nigerian and Ghanaian extrajudicial killings amid migrant tensions

KRUGER NATIONAL PARK, MPUMALANGA – The Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) has officially denied widespread allegations that Nigerian and Ghanaian nationals are being killed in South Africa.

Speaking on the sidelines of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Foreign Ministers’ gathering at Skukuza, DIRCO spokesperson Chrispin Phiri stated that thorough investigations have yielded no official record or evidence to validate rumors of targeted extrajudicial killings.
