The Eastern Cape has registered commendable progress in recent months with 759 illegal firearms and 8080 rounds of illegal ammunition since 01 April 2025 to date.

In the OR Tambo District alone, the men and women in blue have seized 181 illegal firearms and 1804 rounds of ammunition.

Operations underway are focusing on removing illegal firearms from communities , removing drugs and arresting those who find themselves on the wrong side of the law
