POLOKWANE — The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Botlokwa has officially released the identities of the three individuals killed in a horrific head-on collision on the N1 highway near Ha Phasa on Friday evening.

The SABC News reported that the deceased include an active police sergeant, a retired police captain, and a female passenger.

According to emergency service updates posted on the official SAPS Facebook Page, first responders were dispatched to the N1 route at approximately 18:50.

A preliminary investigation reveals that a white Hyundai i20, driven by Sergeant Mabeba, was heading north when it collided head-on with a southbound Toyota Corolla Sprinter occupied by Tshikhudo and Mamphwe.
