DELPORTSHOOP — Northern Cape police are seeking public assistance to identify the family of a pedestrian killed in a hit-and-run accident on the R31 road nearly ten months ago.

The deceased, identified as 38-year-old Andile Cingo, died after being struck by a truck between Koopmansfontein and Danielskuil on Sunday, 27 July 2025.

His body remains unclaimed at the state mortuary.

Investigating officers believe Cingo may have relatives living in Danielskuil, Postmasburg, Lusikisiki, Bizana, or Springs.

Authorities have released photographs of the deceased to assist family members with formal identification.

The Delportshoop SAPS urges anyone with information regarding the victim’s family to visit the station or contact the investigating officer, Warrant Officer Jim Williams, directly on 073 465 2104 or 060 972 3270.
