MP AND NCC LEADER FADIEL ADAMS GRANTED R10,000 BAIL IN FRAUD AND JUSTICE SUBVERSION CASE
PINETOWN – The Pinetown Magistrate’s Court in KwaZulu-Natal has granted R10,000 bail to Fadiel Adams, Member of Parliament and leader of the National Coloured Congress (NCC). Adams faces serious charges of fraud and defeating the ends of justice.
The criminal charges stem from allegations that Adams illicitly gained entry to a correctional facility to interview two high-profile inmates. The prisoners are currently standing trial in separate cases overseen by the specialized Political Killings Task Team.
The legal team for the state did not oppose bail but requested sufficient time to finalize the docket for trial. Magistrate Robinson adjourned the matter, and the case is expected back in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court on 14 August.
